I think that the charm with some spawns (like Icy ogres) is that there is a bit to walk. But it's worth to do the walk because the hunting area is so good. I belive a homestone would ruin this.
The idea of the homestone is to help new players to get around easier. When you get higher and more experienced you will have to get along without these features and easy escapes.
What if I told you there is a more advanced teleportationsystem in the game?
A homestone would ruin what? the area will be worse if the player choose to not walk all the way back just by using the homestone? lol
Also you can prevent this just by adding non logable areas, so dungeons, quest areas and like wont let the player teleport
The mobility in the game is crucial, Ragnarok has a teleportation skill, World of Warcraft has the stone (that the script is based), almost all the blizzard games does, the most played ones in the world has one system like that because they know its what the players want, its a individual choice, making player happy also make us stay longer and enjoy more! What is the game about if not the fun? Theres no fun running all Frisiga, everybody hates it, already heard lots of cry about this continent (me not that much).
Why the players that stop playing is around that level, because we loose the hearthstone, coincidence? the DEVS can check their account average level, im not lying, theres should be a poll for some time to see what the community (in game and in forum) think about the changes, that would sure help a lot the DEV team
Being more specific, the system would not be fair if it was for a few players only, like, max level only can use the stone
What if they decide to make a "unfair" system about that one? or even make a donation item, a stone that can be used lv 50+
Who helps the server will win the power to go back when he wants and the players that doesn't will need to go back like they usually do
I can be even more specific, the system can be modified to create specific occasions, in order to the player be able to go back to its home, temple, tavern, whatever..
1- Make some spots at the end of the dungeons, quests, hard places, far away places, etc.. so the player need to go there to teleport, like a shrine (that idea is not the ideal, since it does not fir well in the propose of the mobility improvement)
2- You can make charges for the stone, forcing the player to pay for these charges, or making it even hard, drop like a special loot, or quest reward or whatever
3- Theres a bad scenario, some minor annoyances/problems like that must be considered too, like, the player well abuse the system to get more power over the gameplay, making that easier, like going back to repot supplies and go back hunt, run from places that should make the player die (traps) or even make the mounts useless
Well thats not true, everything here can used as excuse to give a player more power then others, like the potions from donation, or the custom items, the trainers, etc.. its the same case!
Its just a choice that we will have to make, well still need mounts to go hunt and go around, the devs can use the tiles or even make a better way to not let player logout in areas they shouldn't, and about the 'making more exp', thats sound ridiculous, theres nothing to worry about, otherwise you'll need to rethink and wipe the guild exp bonus, exp potions, exp from team hunt, etc.. In the worse case, the exp can be lowered a little bit to contrabalance, if this is a "real" problem
