First, I'd like to say that I have 140 bs and 125 alchemy. This is an awesome system, and exploration of old areas is amazing again even as a season 1/2 veteran!
Pros:
So far, I've really enjoyed blacksmithing, because if a certain piece of my gear, or my friends gear, was lacking I could just simply make a new piece with some +hp/+mana/etc as an upgrade. I've also had some fun with potions in alchemy like the potion of firestorm. I feel like for the mats it takes to make THIS potion + how long it lasts is great for certain bosses. The mystery of what I could be making in 10 more skill levels is also pretty awesome of what keeps me leveling the skills up.
Cons:
Blacksmithing - A lot of us noticed you could make diamond scepters with 5 diamonds and then sell the scepter for 3k. The problem is that you can buy 5 diamonds for 3k, so if you have 3k you can PG your bs up to 90 once that recipe is unlocked. It's good in the fact that you can pick and choose what you want to use your ores for, but it also defeats a lot of the purpose of mining ores. At the moment, this is the only big flaw that comes to mind. Hitting 140 from 90 has taken quite a bit of grinding just ores lol.
Alchemy - The duration for some pots are far too low. I don't want to spend 2 30 minute hunts worth of gathering for a 5 minute chaos skeleton (Especially when I have no idea what it does!). I realise I could've used the skeleton at orc camp, but even then 5 minutes for all that gathering might be too little of a reward.
Here is what I would propose:
1)
I just noticed at 125 that I could make
Item: 3 potions of death sentence
Skill points reward: 2
Requires a tier 2 vial.
Ingredients: 10 troll greens, 20 star herbs.
I love that you can make 3 potions at once. The cost is steep, but for 3 potions, that's basically 3~ troll/8 stars per pot. That isn't that bad of a trade.
2)
A lot of the potions have a "30 minute duration"... Personally I think a lot of these potions have underwhelming affects for someone to pick up alchemy, so either A) they need to get somewhat buffed, or B) increase the duration to an hour. C) increase the amount of potions you make with a single recipe (like with potion of the death sentence)
3) In a previous thread someone mentioned "uses" for the picks/scythes. I would highly propose this.. I don't want to spoil it for anyone (I say this as I spammed it in chat with joy), but I received a scythe that had 100% bonus resources when gathering with 30% success rate. It broke after my 2nd use lol. I would assume that it was highly fragile for being so good, but I will never know. Also I had a scenario earlier today where I had 3 reinforced picks, and within 3 ores and they all were broken.
