This server needs more players, and a more active community...
Is there a way to low-budget advertise or something of the sort?

I don't think you quit for those reasons. We need more players not to "finnish the season" but to have a lively community on the server. Server quality is very high. The only reason we have so few players is because we have so few players - leading to new players feeling lonely and quitting. When i came to this server i stayed because there were 5~ players active, and i figured more would come with time.

There were several reasons leading to us being less active/inactive: one of the reasons being a low population, which was in fact caused by frisiga and the kicks. I also got pretty bored of collecting sards, so taking a few days without playing atleast, doesn't seem weird after a month of 'tryharding'.

I'll start off by saying that I'm the type of player who only plays super custom servers because even though Tibia's original content is balanced, it gets quite boring after so many years. This server alone was such a long shot for me. I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did.
The reason I stopped playing was because of a multitude of reason. -----First of all a lot of people quit cause of Frisiga and the crashes, which led to a huge decline in players. Doesn't matter how good a server is, if no one is really playing it it's no fun, so I understand how you feel.
-----Since lots of people stopped playing guilds like Time and Breaking Bad ceased to exist. It was a lot more fun when you're playing, trying to be the best, get the feats before anyone else etc.. but that all went away. No more competition, wars, pks, excitement, etc..
-----The third reason is because of the insane boredom I reached. Hellborns are better in every possible way, I don't think there is any better place in the whole server, sure I haven't explored all of it but I'm pretty sure nothing is better. The fact that every day I came from a long day at school, all I did was hunt hellborns for hours and hours which I guess eventually burned me out. The sole fact that Hellborns would be the best hunting spot for me for the rest of the content pushed me further away because I knew if I wanted to level I would have to go back to them.
-----It's hard for all of our team to be on due to different timezones. One day someone might want to play super bad but since the tank can't play there's nothing they can do. The day or time the tank can play other can't so once again not much we can do. A server is only as fun as the people you play with and no one wants to play by themselves, not to mention, all the fun stuff on here requires a lot of people. What happens if the knight of the team quits? The rest of the team has no choice to quit because without a knight everything will be near to impossible.
-----Hunting on here is quite boring and tenacious. Like I said before I'm a very custom enthusiastic player while the owner are quite the opposite and try to maximize the use of vanilla content, which I respect and understand the reason behind it, but sadly it's just not for me. The custom spells are more for special occasions instead of daily hunting, so you basically use the same spells you've been using since around level 100 which gets quite boring, not to mention they are generic tibia spells. The custom items are nice, but most are from quests, or bosses.. it's not until you get to hell where you actually have custom monsters that drop some custom loot, well to be honest it's more like 1 custom item per custom monsters which is a bit lame. I just wish there was some type of system that made hunting fun, something that ACTUALLY made you want to hunt. Things like rare drops, rarity system, etc.. The only thing that even came close to this was monsters in hell dropping sardonyx but that was implemented after all my time spent hunting and even that isn't all that sufficient.
I just simply wanted to say why I eventually stopped playing. I'm not here to complain, bash or anything. I think the server is amazing and has a hell of a lot more work and dedication then most servers out there. It's just that it doesn't fit my criteria all that much. Anyway now that I've had a somewhat small break I think I will be getting back on when I have time. With Lector in Hell I'm sure we will open the portal in no time and I would love to do some more exploring!

I think most people went before the crashes. It's all about expectations.
This server reminds me of Skyrim, but the pace is what differs. In Skyrim you want to take it easy, go around and explore, do side quests, read the stories, etc. I think that Frisiga is a great addition to a server with lower pace, but the problem is the competition, nobody cares about the story which is tied to the fact that everyone just wants to get to the highest level as quickly as possible. This is also connected with the team-requiring quests. It's hard to do some of the tasks alone, and all tasks are clearly MUCH easier with a team. Agreeing with some of Alan's points, the veredict is that this server lacks custom spells, classes, items, etc to be completely custom, to draw the crowd that enjoys exploring and custom content, but too slow for regular players. Unfortunately there aren't many players enjoying low-pace tibia. Personally I stopped playing when I realized I had to do a Frisgia quest from the bottom line, to keep going with the regular quest.
I was looking forward to play this server casually, being able to do some tasks once in a while and explore some, do some mysteries, chill with people at a hangout place, etc. But the flow of the server feels more like a start to end do-everything-as-fast-as-possible game, which took the old Ruthless spirit away abit, maybe there should be several quest lines, with no real purpose, just to have fun, I'm not sure.
Some thoughts ~

Some thoughts ~"Most people left during the crashes really, that's when we saw the player drop. Frisiga isn't really a great addition for a lower pace server, since it only has 2 real hunting spots (Crystal Spiders and Frost Dragons) for a slow paced/low rate server. I can't even really count the barbarians, the camps I encountered aren't all that good. The beasts that are walking around (forgot their names, custom monsters) aren't even close to being as good as Icy Ogres, so I won't count those either. This leaves Icy Ogres at higher levels, but I really doubt people will be hunting them efficiently before level 130~ on a low rate server where people don't have the cash to just bring 1k GMPs to every hunt. There will always be people that want to get to the highest level as quickly as possible, whether there is a story or not. I guess if you don't like that, Tibia is not the game for you. The competition actually added an extra dimention to the server, heck when Breaking Bad and Time were playing it was a lot more fun and we were a lot more dedicated to play. After both of those teams quit, we pretty much did the same since we got bored & we knew we would be the ones to reach a certain point first, but having to collect all those sardonyxes was no fun at all (especially after we found out that the biggest bosses didn't even drop us any, and the only spawn that really was worth hunting/collecting them at was Hellborns (nothing comes close to Hellborns in Hell, rest of the places are harder and more waste)). About the tasks being harder alone, that kind of depends on your vocation. I would be able to do all of the tasks (with exceptions of bosses/dungeons) solo on a paladin, I soloed all of them up to the Ghastly Dragons as a Druid as well. Yeah, all of them are way more fun and easier as a team, but isn't that the case for any server? About the low amount of slow-paced Tibia players: True, that's why they have to be given a reason to keep on hunting (as Alan and even I have said before: customize the items more, give people a chance to loot normal/rare/legendary items in any monster, this gives you more excitement while hunting). Sure, the server lacks custom spells, vocations and what not to be completely custom, but hey they aren't even close to actually finishing the server the way they really want it to be. Every season more and more stuff becomes custom, I can't even begin to imagine how much extra custom content has been added since the last season. Honestly, if they wanted everything to be totally custom they'd need a bigger team to do that within the last year. Since they are just working together, they need more time, and this was to be expected by anyone that played the last season. Personally I stopped playing when I realized I had to do a Frisgia quest from the bottom line, to keep going with the regular quest. I'm not sure what you meant with this part, the only things you had to do in Frisiga were kill a boss, frost dragons, crystal spiders and collect the shards. There was no Frisiga quest line you had to fullfil before being able to continue with the regular questline as far as I have experienced. You're still able to do all of this really, you can do tasks once in a while, explore a bit, do some random mysteries. The difference at the moment is that you have done all the side bosses/quests in the last season (Malchus, Thesarus, Elder Guardian etc.) so nothing seems new to you. The flow of the server hasn't changed, the mentallity of me, Jamal and Biceps has however. We have done all of the side bosses last season (with the exception of Thesarus and the new ones they added, which we did do this Season along with trying all the other known side bosses) so there was no reason to explore it all once again since we knew what we'd get in the end. This, combined with the fact that we now had 2 teams competing with us (TIME and Breaking Bad), led to us trying to achieve everything as fast as possible in order to be the ones on the Feat of Strenth page (which in the end means nothing, but it's fun to have something to work towards). What I'm trying to say is that the flow of the server is still the same, since the objective & side quests are the same (and even expanded) since last season. Not meaning to bash on you Mist, just giving my point of view about your post. <3 PS: I have no idea why the quote part fucked up, and have no idea how to fix it on this forum either. Sorreh
