Honestly, the kicks are starting to become annoying now. I don't mind the server kicking once a day or something, that can happen. It just happened twice in an hour, causing me and Vitalie to lose 3 levels aswell as a total of 270k bless money in a way we couldn't possibly prevent. I've seen quite some more deaths on the latest death page, all caused by the same problem.
The biggest problem here is that the server doesn't actually go offline, it just kicks the players off of it while leaving the characters online. This means that monsters can still roam around freely and kill you.
Guess at the moment there are 2 options:
1. Refund anyone that died at a time a global kick happens. You can check the logs whenever this is, then check the latest death OR deathlist of people and ATLEAST refund their experience up to the level they lost (possibly bless money for that has to be paid for a certain level as well, it's easy to calculate). 2. Make sure that IF a connection loss happens, the whole server goes offline as opposed to just disconnecting the players but leaving the server online.
Honestly, I think it's a small miracle that people stick around even with the annoying pathing in frisiga and the shard task. Don't ruin it for people that sticked around by not doing anything about this, players are starting to deserve a refund.
Regards,

Hello, we thought of another option. From Monday and for some days, we will increase the lootrate to compensate for the losses.

How come Monday? The crashes happened quite a lot in the past, wouldn't it be better to have the lootrate increase asap? I also don't see why it wouldn't start on Saturday, when most people actually have some time to play. Weekdays are really busy for some people due to school, work, etc...

Exactly this, the measures have been taken WAY to late. You should've come with an ingame statement via a broadcast as soon as the kicks started happening, promising people to have a compensation of some sort. The people that quit wont come back because of an increased lootrate a week later, this won't really change anything at all unfortunately. As much as I wish this server has and think that it deserves more players, it's not going to happen like this. You've missed your window with both Frisiga and the kicks I'm afraid.

Again it kicks multiple times today, we die. This is atleast the 5th time this has happened to us, we're losing 1.5kk exp each time. Extra lootrate from monday to 'compensate' yet most people work/go to school on weekdays and most of their playtime is in the weekends. This is not going to work, I'm honestly done playing for a while now, since the chances are huge that it'll kick again causing me to lose another 1,5kk exp and 80k in blessings.
You should get this sorted out and start compensating players for their experience loss and blesesings atleast, because this is starting to get ridiculous. Quite some people have been donating, atleast get a stable host back for that cash.

Hello,
We have lately been target from some malicious DDoS attacks (As you can see from the 'uptime', they ain't crashes). DDoS attacks are very difficult to fight against (not even Tibia manages to) and it is not on our hands to solve them, but on our server provider's. We have been insisting them to solve these issues, since they assured to have a DDoS protectionthat we are not having. Therefore, against these malicious DDoS attacks, all we can do for now is apologize and give everybody a compensation for their losses.
The extra lootrate, as well as other possible ways of compensation, will last long enough for everybody to recover much faster from these losses. About the stability of the host: Our host is supposed to be one of the best, specially for open tibia, but bear in mind that DDoS is something very hard to fight against. Be sure though that we will not give up.

I understand the situation you are in, I get that it is impossible to fight against these ddos attacks, the only thing I was trying to point out is that you missed your window to keep your players on the server by compensating immediately.
In no way do I way to blame any of you for the kicks or deaths, but it was in your hands to act in time in order to keep the players on the server. I am still trying to help every player on the server in order to keep them stay, as well as cam all the bosses we do to get people to be enthusiastic about the server.
I heard that you guys started compemsating the people that are online, however how will you help the people that are offline after a death due to a kick? Isnt it possible to give these people their levels as well as blessings back through the server files?
I'm sorry if it seemed like I blamed you, this was not my intention, I appreciate everything you've given us so far.
Lil edit: I heard that you compensated people by just giving them cash. Our main problem isnt the cash we lost, most people have plenty of cash. The experience on the other hand is the problem for most of my team. Losing up to an hour of playtime is no fun at all (kick + hunting time included). I honestly think you should start compensating experience, I for one am barely motivated to play anymore because of all the exp Liss. 4 or 5 out of my 10 latest deaths were caused by kicks, that's about 5-7kk exp lost. That's 2h of solid hunting time, with the chance of another kick happening.

We'll try to learn from our mistakes and try to have a faster reaction next time :S About the compensation: 5 players died while the DDoS attacks took place, 3 of them have been compensated (with the price of the blessing). You and another person are left to be compensated and we will add the cash to your bank balance. We are aware it doesn't cover your losses at all, that's why tomorrow's patch will not only introduce the extra lootrate, but a small experience boost for higher leveled players. Server situation
This is the latest response we received from our service provider: "We are working on it [The DDoS attacks] , but we can't guarantee there won't be short reachability problems while the attack is being mitigated."

I have lost all motivation to play. I can't even keep track of how many times I've died due to the crashes this past week. Even though I lost A LOT of money considering each blessing for me is 80k what I care about more is EXP. You could of easily seen the people who died during all the crashes and given their EXP back, but sadly that never happened. Sure this extra lootrate and "small experience boost" might help a bit but it's during the weekdays...I have school for over half the day among other things so I will barely be able to play therefore making this event super useless for those like me who are busy during the weekdays. So basically I won't even get my EXP back, if I want any chance of getting some of it back I'll have to come home from school and waste ALL my time grinding non-stop just to get back what was rightfully mine. I'm sorry if this seems like I'm bashing at you guys but it's the most aggravating thing EVER. Every time it happens I'm just like "that's it I'm quitting" and then log off. Sure a day later I'll come back but now it's at the point where I have no motivation to do ANYTHING AT ALL because of these crashes. The only reason I get on is because my team is nothing without a tank. What I want to suggest is to create a potion that gives a small exp boost and last x amount and then give that to players. This way you are able to use the potion whenever you feel like you'll have time to play for a large amount. If not then I'll pretty much miss out on all the exp event which would make me even more aggravated. :/

We are trying so, however Please remember that we are only humans, we have our jobs, college and duties aswell. And even though we love investing as much time as we can into this server, we are limited by them. We hope you understand. And don't worry about missing the exp week, the extra loot and experience will remain also on the weekend (until Monday), so you can profit from them there!

One thing that I have seen done on other servers to compensate for deaths is to summon a monster that gives a lot of exp and let the player kill it. Call it exp dog or something and summon them one and let them kill it. Sure they might gain a bit more than they actually lost but I think it is a good idea. Saves you from having to go in and edit the player files each time it happens. To solve the issue of compensating players that are not online after the attack happens you could simply put 1 of said monster in a small room with a portal out and make the player log in that room next time they get on. They kill the monster and port back to the temple or depot and voila!
