Okay so I'm thinking of a relatively easy way to add some new spice into the game while also giving players more options for hunting. Adding in more customized amulets. One of the reasons I originally got started on this idea was during a discussion about using SSA (Stone Skin Amulet) during a boss battle and someone said "Can't switch amulets with utamo res" and I thought hmm wouldn't it be nice to have some amulets without charges that could be used for different situations? Now obviously you can't just remove the charges from SSA because that would be op, but what about adding in some skill amulets? You could introduce an amulet with +shielding skills and have some minor drawback like -5 speed or something. Also instead of having amulets with 10 or 20% elemental protection you could do maybe only 5% protection but with 1 or 2 armor and no charges.
Let me know what you guys think about this, was also thinking you could do it for rings as well. Some armor or regen rings?

Or create one amulet that you can Charge it ( Like softs ). that it gets 200-500 charges.. or more .

Ye im also for the 500 charge amulet since i gotta stack up on them and quit utamo res just to change amulets and recast it then again.

Instead if you decide to make a rechargable amulet, why not use enchanted gems to recharge them they are pretty much useless atm. Make an amulet depending on the gem you use on it it can gain chargers against that element. Think it would be way more interesting than just going over to some npc and paying some cash lol

I really like that idea Nerk but I think that could be just for 1 of the new amulets they add. Call it Elemental Amulet (working title) and lets say a enchated gem gives only a small amount of charges, like 20-50, but you can stack them up to a predetermined amount, probably around 500? Of course different gems give resistance to their respective elements, and I suppose a weakness to another element could be added for 'balance' but I think since this would be a special item, it shouldn't have that effect. I could go on but I feel I'm rambling. Idk just something that popped in my head when I read Nerks post, and probably everything he meant just in way more detail.

I really like the idea of a single amulet and that gems gives a small ammount of charges that can stacked, what about adding multiple resistances at the same time? like a ruby would add 10% fire res and an amethyst 10% energy res if you add both it would add 5% of each res? the total ammount of charges would have the same cap so you can have lets say 250 fire resitance and 250 earht resistance, also they should have the negative resistance like aff said. Also adding gems that negate each other like ruby and sapphire fire and ice resistance would end up on a neutral amulet or maybe add like 2% res to both. I would also like the idea of being able to upgrade the amulet so it gives a higher res when charged. it could be upgraded with a quest involving creature products from the elementals like fiery hearts etc
